STATE LEVEL INNOVATION FESTIVAL

25th January and 26th January, 2020: STATE LEVEL INNOVATION FESTIVAL two-day long Innovation Festival 2020 organized by A.P. State Council for Science & Technology, Department of Science & Technology on 25th January and 26th January 2020 with partnership with National Innovation Foundation was inaugurated at science centre, IG Park by Science & Technology Secretary Shri Ameya A Abhayankar and Director cum Member Secretary Shri C D Mungyak. A total number of 55 participants from NERIST, NIT Yupia, and students from VKV Chimpu, Govt. Secondary School, P Sector, Itanagar, Govt. Secondary School Police colony Itanagar, VKV Ziro, Holy Cross School Itanagar, JNV Goju, VKV Tatia gram, VKV Tezu, VKV NEEPCO-Yazali, GIS Dari, and schools from different part of state, Grassroots Innovators, Artesian and Entrepreneurs from ArunachalPradesh and Assam. All the participants have shown their satisfaction in respect of the content, delivery and presentations of the topics covered during the program. The two-day program witnessed interaction session, technical session and discussion among the innovators and motivation especially in all the educational institutions. Manak State Level Event was also organized where students stressed upon the use and port to the motivated in the years to come, more innovators would forward to display their creativity and innovations at such events. Arunachal Pradesh Science and Technology Council plans to take such events in different parts of the states and invites all innovators, craftsmen and artisans to come forward and share their work with the council, which willthen take it forward appropriately of this festival to provide privately a common platform for grassroots innovators, students, artisans, and entrepreneur from the state to exchange their innovation related activities and Ideas. NE ZONAL LEVEL ROBOTIC OLYMPIAD at GUWAHATI

North East ZONAL LEVEL ROBOTIC OLYMPIAD was organized on 21th January and 22nd January, 2020 by Innovation Hub Regional Science Centre Khanapara, Guwahati under the supervision of Shri Manash Deka (Mentor), Smt. Jyotismita Mishra (Mentor) and Shri RamendraMedhi (Education Officer) Regional Science Centre Guwahati to promote innovation, creativity and engagement in Science & Technology. The challenge is to make a robot that helps you to identify bio-degradable and non-bio-degradable materials in your museum. The bio-degradable material will be depicted by a certain colours and non-bio-degradable materials by a single colour. In the task four different colours will be used. Yellow, Blue and Green colours will represent Biodegradable materials and Red colour will represent Non-biodegradable materials. LEGO EV3 ROBOTICS COMPETITION

7th January, 2020: LEGO EV3 Robotic competition was organized on Tuesday 7th January, 2020 by Innovation Hub of Arunachal Pradesh Science Centre under the supervision of Director cum Member Secretary of Arunachal Pradesh State Council for Science and Technology Shri C D Mungyak and Shri Vivek Kumar Curator Arunachal Pradesh Science Centre Arunachal Pradesh to promote innovation, creativity and engagement in science & technology. A total of ten participants took part in the competition from different school of the Capital Complex beside two students � Nang Lothine Choupoo and Nang Anuja Namchoom from Namsai district who were selected during awareness program on robotics Track for school level among 100 schools of apparitional Namsai. The event waso rganized with an aim to create awareness in robotics, artificial intelligence, concept of programming and to promote innovation, creativity and engagement in science and technology. The activities included Robotic Sumo Wrestling and Follow the track (Robo Maze).The winners of the competition would participate in Regional Level Robotic Competition to be held at Regional Science Centre Guwahati on 21st January 2020.
