Seven days Winter School in Observational Astronomy was organized at Varahamhir Astronomical Observatory, Dongla and Ujjain Taramandal. About 50 post graduate/B.Tech students from different universities and institutes of Madhya Pradesh and Chattisgarh had participated in this programme. The primary objectives of the school is to create interest among students about, astronomy and space science and motivate them to work in the innovative field of astronomical research.
The 13th Vigyan Mantha Yatra was organized during 10th to 18th October 2019 which was participated by 563 selected students of Class 8 to 12th standard and 46 science teachers. They visited various national laboratories in the country and interacted with senior scientist
M P Remote sensing Applications centre of MPCST in collaboration of Space Applications Centre, Ahmedabad had carried out pilot studies for Optimization of Crop Cutting Experiments (CCEs) in Seoni district and Babai tehsil of Hoshangabad district during 2017-18 and Rabi 2018-19 for Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY).
