The Government of India has initiated "Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav" to celebrate and commemorate 75 years of progressive India. As a part of "Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav", the Department of Science & Technology, Govt. of India initiated, a year-long program "Vigyan Utsav" to showcase the STI ecosystem at the State level. The programme was inaugurated by the Hon'ble Minister of State (Independence Charge) of the Ministry of Science & Technology Dr. Jitendra Singh in September 2021. The programme was concluded in August 2022. The State Science & Technology Councils have organized 270 sessions on the 12 month-specific themes as mentioned below to project the entire spectrum of the STI ecosystem at the state level:
